The idea came in 2006 during the Holiday Season, I wanted to give a unique gift to an a friend that was in the fire academy. I began looking around and could not find anything other than the traditional red and white Christmas Stockings. I wanted something that would stand out and be different than any other stocking. I decided that their turnout boot and suspenders would be a unique stocking and the idea was set in motion. I began designing a firefighter boot Christmas stocking. I made several for our local fire department and the Chief encouraged me to patent the idea and so I did and in October of 2007 My Hero Stocking Company was formed. I certainly hope that you enjoy these stockings as much as I have designing and sewing them.
